This program is held on Tuesday evenings in the community gym at Granby Memorial High School. Pick-up games for 2 hours for those age 35 and older from 7-9 pm. $50 for the whole session or $8 resident drop in fee or $10 non-resident drop in fee. Drop in fees are cash only. Fall Program runs Sept 17-Dec 17*.  Please check the Granby Recreation website Tuesday afternoons if you are a drop in for updates on cancellations. Drivers license needs to be shown at check in. No Basketball on 10/15, 10/22, 11/5, 12/10.  Spring Program runs March 17-May 19. No basketball on 3/24 & 4/14.

Around the globe, families enrolled in the program playfully share in songs, rhymes, movement and instrument play, both in class and throughout daily life. Designed as a multi-semester program to grow with your little one over the course of early childhood, a beautifully illustrated songbook and CD is included each semester. Music Together brings families and friends together in a rich musical environment and demonstrates how joyful, spontaneous music-making can be a part of everyday life. Join us at the beautiful Holcomb Farm Workshop for a mixed level Yoga class.  Start the day with this wonderful program to stretch, strengthen and restore.  Class begins with a gentle warmup, builds to an invigorating flow and ends with with deep stretch and peaceful relaxation.  Perfect to help gain flexibility, balance, and strength. This class is led by popular local instructor, Mary Ellen Mullins

Being active is the secret to staying healthy! Walking is an easy and inexpensive way to get moving....join our walking club & come walk with us every Tuesday from 12:00-12:45 pm at the beautiful Salmon Brook Park during the lunch time hour. Meet at the Recreation Office. We will be staying on the pavement and walking around the park for 45 minutes of fitness, conversation and fun. We can all motivate each other at this weekly scheduled walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome! Dress for the weather! Registration is required. We are looking for a volunteer to lead this group! Please contact the Recreation Office if you are interested!

Cooking is a life skill that incorporates not only health & nutrition, but also math, literacy, geography, and creativity.  Participants will learn how to work together to create delicious meals that can be easily replicated at home.   This program is held at the Holcomb Farm and is led by Alicia Newton, a nutritionist with 8 years of experience teaching children nutrition and cooking skills.

Increase aerobic fitness and stamina! Did you know that Badminton is the number two "participation sport" in the world?  It is second only to soccer in popularity.  Increase aerobic fitness and stamina by participating in this weekly program.  Granby Resident, Roger Young, will provide coaching consisting of racket grip, proper racket strokes, court movement, correct bird stance, score keeping, correct court coverage by player and partner, exercise info., and history and facts of badminton.This program is for all skill levels and all equipment is provided! Come join on us on Thursday nights from 7-9 pm at GMMS (session 1)& GMHS (session 2). What can be more fun than spending some quality time crafting with friends while you create beautiful, hand-made cards?  The cost per card is less than $3!This kit makes it easy to create and send your heartfelt greetings.  You will make 20 cards in total (5 each of 4 designs).  Participants are asked to bring their choice of adhesive(s) and scissors.   Adhesive can be purchased from the instructor for an additional charge.
