Meet at the Recreation Office. We will be staying on the pavement and walking around the park for 45 minutes of fitness, conversation and fun. We can all motivate each other at this weekly scheduled walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome! Dress for the weather! Registration is required. We are looking for a volunteer to lead this group! Music TogetherAges 0—5 with CaregiverMondays, 9:30 & 10:30 AM Join this international, research-based music & movement program for children from birth to Kindergarten- and the grownups who love them! Around the globe, families enrolled in the program playfully share in songs, rhymes, movement and instrument play, both in class and throughout daily life. Designed as a multi-semester program to grow with your little one over the course of early childhood, a beautifully illustrated songbook and CD is included each semester. Music Together brings families and friends together in a rich musical environment and demonstrates how joyful, spontaneous music-making can be a part of everyday life. Take advantage of this special opportunity to participate in the beloved Music Together program right here in Granby! Instructor: Sarah Asmar, Music Together of West Hartford and Farmington Valley. This is a beginner course with a strong emphasis on developing all four language skills. The focus in this class will be placed on speaking and listening activities using technology and real-world situations. The assignments will concentrate on reading and writing using authentic resources in order to explore Hispanic culture and history. All students will need to bring a pen or pencil, a composition notebook, lined paper and a folder. This class, taught by Claudia Gonzalez who is a Spanish teacher at Enfield, HS will run on Mondays.This program is for anyone ages 16 and up. *No class on 4/13.

Did you know that Badminton is the number two "participation sport" in the world?  It is second only to soccer in popularity.  Increase aerobic fitness and stamina by participating in this weekly program.  Granby Resident, Roger Young, will provide coaching consisting of racket grip, proper racket strokes, court movement, correct bird stance, score keeping, correct court coverage by player and partner, exercise info., and history and facts of badminton.This program is for all skill levels and all equipment is provided! 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM    TAZ's Spring Preseason Conditioning and Fitness Camp - TAZ's Spring Preseason Conditioning and Fitness Camp
This program is designed for anyone in grades 7-12 looking to get in shape (or further increase their fitness conditioning) for the start of their spring sport season. This non-sport specific camp is fitness based and will incorporate drills to enhance endurance, footwork & agility, full body strength training, core based exercises, balance and flexibility. There will be some long and short distance endurance runs as well as aerobic and Pilates classes. Many core strength exercises to be incorporated throughout the work out each day.  All levels of fitness are welcome. You will need an exercise mat, water bottle, hand held weights (approx. 5-8 lbs.), & good footwear (cross training and/or running shoes). Sessions held in the Community gym; however, if weather permits, we could also go outside. Join us for some fun while we work out and get ready for our spring sports seasons! Instructor: Terri Ziemnicki; National Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Training & Connecticut Certified High School Coach for over 30 years.  
 
6:00 PM - 6:40 PM    Beginner Spanish Classes - Beginner Spanish Classes
This is a beginner course with a strong emphasis on developing all four language skills. The focus in this class will be placed on speaking and listening activities using technology and real-world situations. The assignments will concentrate on reading and writing using authentic resources in order to explore Hispanic culture and history. All students will need to bring a pen or pencil, a composition notebook, lined paper and a folder. This class, taught by Claudia Gonzalez who is a Spanish teacher at Enfield, HS will run on Mondays.This program is for anyone ages 16 and up. *No class on 4/13.

This program is held on Monday & Tuesday evenings in the Community Gym at Granby Memorial High School. Pick-up games for 2 hours for those ages 18  and up from 7-9 pm. Granby Residents have two options to pay: $80 (which comes out to only $2.58 per night!) for the entire session (includes both nights) or pay a $5 drop-in fee per night.Non-Resident drop-in fee will be $10 per night. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:     Drop-in fees are cash only.      Drivers license needs to be shown at check in.      Program runs from 1/6/20 - 5/19/20*.  For those who choose drop-in registration only - please check the Granby Recreation website Monday and Tuesday afternoons after 3 pm for updates or cancellations. *No Basketball on the following dates:  1/20, 2/4, 2/11, 2/17, 2/18, 4/13, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12

Join us at the beautiful Holcomb Farm Workshop for a mixed level Yoga class.  Start the day with this wonderful program to stretch, strengthen and restore.  Class begins with a gentle warmup, builds to an invigorating flow and ends with with deep stretch and peaceful relaxation.  Perfect to help gain flexibility, balance, and strength. This class is led by popular local instructor, Mary Ellen Mullins
 
12:00 PM - 12:45 PM    Lunchtime Walkers Club - Lunchtime Walkers Club
Being active is the secret to staying healthy! Walking is an easy and inexpensive way to get moving....join our walking club & come walk with us every Tuesday from 12:00-12:45 pm at the beautiful Salmon Brook Park during the lunch time hour. Meet at the Recreation Office. We will be staying on the pavement and walking around the park for 45 minutes of fitness, conversation and fun. We can all motivate each other at this weekly scheduled walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome! Dress for the weather! Registration is required. We are looking for a volunteer to lead this group! Please contact the Recreation Office if you are interested!
