Granby High School's Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, Mike D'Angelo and his staff lead this popular instructional camp. This camp will concentrate on fundamentals and individual & team development as well as help foster self-confidence in a fun atmosphere.  Curriculum includes conditioning, drills, stations, plus team & individual competitions that will help players improve their ball handling, shooting, defense and rebounding. Participants should wear appropriate gym clothes and sneakers and bring a ball and a water bottle.  All campers will receive a camp t-shirt.

This is a great class for all levels and especially for the senior population. Balance and stretching exercises are incorporated in each workout. Please bring your weights, exercise mat and water bottle. Class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Session is 30 classes for only $90! Come be a part of this fun class and great workout! The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the online portion. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundation CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration and practice, case-based emergency response scenarios, and reflection and debriefing activities with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM    Field Hockey, Farmington Valley Field Hockey League - Farmington Valley Field Hockey League Grades 5-6
The Towns of Granby, Avon, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Harwinton, and Wethersfield are part of the Farmington Valley Girls Field Hockey League. Teams will be formed in each town consisting of players in grades 5-6. Teams will practice one a day week and in their respective towns and games will be played on Sunday afternoons in the various communities. Games are scheduled on Sunday afternoons at 2:30pm, September 13 - October 25. No Game on 10/11. (Makeup day (if needed) will be Nov. 1st).  Players will receive a reversible numbered jersey.  All players will need a mouthguard, shinguards, eye protection, cleats and field hockey stick.  Please contact the Granby Recreation office if you would like to be a volunteer coach! Registration Deadline is August 24th.
